How To Use Scarnox®

Wash the skin thoroughly with mild soap and water, allow drying. Apply a small amount of Scarnox® Gel on to the scar tissue; massage it well and leave to dry.

When applied correctly, Scarnox® should be dry in 2-3 minutes. If it takes longer to dry you have probably applied too much. Gently remove the excess with a tissue and allow the drying process to continue.
Yes, after Scarnox® has dried any other treatments (cosmetics, sun screen) can be applied.
No. It’s not necessary, as Scarnox® forms a barrier for your scar that maintains the skins moisture.
Scarnox® can be used on new and old scars. Scarnox® can be applied twice daily for 6 months for effective results on keloids and hybertrophic scars.
Scarnox® is suitable for children or people with sensitive skin. However, if redness, pain or skin irritation should occur, discontinue treatment and consult your physician.
Yes. Scarnox® is suitable for children or people with sensitive skin.
  • Scarnox® should not be applied on third degree burns or to open wounds.
  • Scarnox® should not be placed in contact with mucous membranes, or the eyes.
  • Scarnox® should not be applied over other skin treatments without the advice of your physician.
  • Scarnox® is for external use only. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your physician.
  • Keep Scarnox® out of the reach of children. Store below 25°C (77°F).
  • Do not use Scarnox® after the expiration (EXP) date printed on the tube.

An initial treatment period of 2 months is recommended for everyone and most people experience noticeable results within 30 days. However, treatment time and results vary from person to person depending on the severity of their individual scar. For best results Scarnox® should be maintained in continuous contact with the skin (24hrs/every day). If you can’t see any difference after 2 months continuous treatment, we recommend consulting your physician for further treatment options.
The timing of results varies greatly from person to person. Also each individual scar reacts different. Some scars maybe difficult to treat and an additional treatment should probably be used in combination with Scarnox®. Please consult a physician to discuss these options.
Scars, in particular new scars, should not be exposed to UV-light and extreme temperatures (intense sunshine, sunbeds, saunas and extreme cold). Scars can be particularly sensitive to chemical ingredients such as those contained in detergents, perfumes, herbal or botanical extracts. Tight clothing should also be avoided, to prevent irritation and further injuring to the scar tissue. Exercises or activities that cause tension on your scar should be avoided so your scar may heal without further disruption.
Minimum treatment of 2months for effective prevention of hypertrophic scars and keloids and six months for treatment of an old existing scar is recommended.
